Being Single: Others Make it Hard
I've gotten to the point in life where friends my age (or just people I went to school with) are a) dating b) getting married and c) might have even have a kid. I'm literally just two years out of high school, and yet how often do I get asked: "Do you have a boyfriend yet?" "Why not?" (when my answer to their first question is no) I've even had several customers at my job ask (or assume) that I'm married! But it's the constant boyfriend nagging that irritates me. It's as if everyone assumes that once you hit a certain age, or a certain stage in your life, that you're automatically going to have a boyfriend/get married. Now don't get me wrong, I do desire to one day have a boyfriend who will a little later on become my husband and all that - the difference is, I'm waiting for God to decide that "one day" for me!
